Visit by US Senator Highlights Value of Innovative Businesses
New Hampshire’s US Senator Maggie Hassan visited Creare on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Sen. Hassan reached out to the company to understand the issues and concerns facing small businesses in the state. Her visit began with a short meeting with Creare’s management team. Staff then provided a tour of Creare’s Great Hollow facility, highlighting many of the important projects that are currently underway. Sen. Hassan clearly enjoyed the technical overviews, as evidenced by her level of engagement and many insightful questions.
During her visit, Sen. Hassan highlighted the importance of supporting innovative businesses that are creating good jobs and moving our economy forward: “It was a pleasure to visit Creare, a great example of how innovative businesses can create high-quality jobs while providing valuable services that support some of our most critical industries, including the development of technology and products to ensure that our military has the advanced equipment it needs to defend our nation. Companies like Creare can drive New Hampshire’s economy, and we must do more to provide a robust, talented workforce that businesses need to compete in the 21st century economy.” Her office’s press release is available here.
Sen. Hassan’s visit to the Upper Valley region began in Claremont, NH with a tour of River Valley Community Collage’s job training facilities in the STEM fields and health care. She also visited the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, VT.
